Tidewater Community College

The Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in General Studies with a Specialization in Professional Communication is designed for students who plan to transfer to four-year colleges or universities and seek a baccalaureate degree in Communication Studies or a related area. This program is intended to provide students with a general course of study that parallels the freshman and sophomore years at many colleges and universities. Students should consult with an advisor or counselor to select general electives to ensure they will be accepted for the preferred program at the four-year institution they plan to attend.

Courses required for the A.S. degree are available on all four campuses.
