HEXS316: Nutrition
This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of basic concepts in human nutrition. Topics will include the physiological and biochemical processes involved in nutrient metabolism across all stages of human development and in the contexts of health and disease. Students will examine the rationale for and application of nutrition guidelines and will consider the impact of food choice, including the role of behavioral and sociological aspects of eating, relative to nutrition and nutrient-related diseases in a global context.
