Study of the pedagogical, developmental and cognitive components of teaching and learning in diverse classrooms. Provides a deeper understanding of the learning and behavior of students as well as individual and group differences including special populations such as exceptional, gifted and at-risk learners. With a focus on PreK-12 learners students will be able to explore cognitive and linguistic development evaluate different teaching strategies and assess how well they facilitates and motivate learning.
