This course integrates fundamental concepts of chemistry with contemporary issues facing society. Sufficient technical background will be presented to enable an informed appreciation of the impact of chemistry within various topics selected by the instructor. The critical thinking methods developed will provide critical pathways for approaching other challenges in a rapidly changing world. This course is for nonscience majors only. It is not intended for chemistry or biology majors.
